PE 250Z swing arm bearing/bush repair
« on: November 04, 2009, 03:01:17 pm »
Can anyone point me at an available download of a workshop manual for a PE250 T/X/Z?  Or a parts manual?   Trying to restore a PE250Z to workable, but I need to replace the swingarm bearings.  I presume I just punch them out (they ae tight!) and replace from local bearing shop.  Also the external bushes are sloppy in the recess.  I presume it is the alloy swingarm that is worn, so should I use shim metal when I reinstall?

Thanks for the help. :)

Go top Lukes site, and I have posted pics on swing arm beraings ( also list kit to buy )

Removing old needle roller is a piece of piss-  bend a piece of 12mm rod 15 degrees so the heel is resting on one side and toe on opposite (inside  neddle cage )
Grind it flat ( like a flat srew driver ) so it fits inside of needle cage and rests on lip ...  tap away @ 3-6-9- 12 oclock      and she will slowly come out
This is all done from opposite side ......pushing it out
