Penton/ KTM 1974

 l am looking for a 1973 to 1976 motorcroos ktm or penton tank for my friends project if anybody got one that they are not using.  Please email me thank you[/color]

Hey Slakewell have you still got that King Scorpian set up for the Honda 4 stroke I sold you all those years ago?

I have just recently passed it on to someone who may do more with it than I did and you for that matter. It was allways funny that it wieght more than the stock XL frame ;-)

I have an old fibreglass tank from a 72 or 73 KTM 125 that may fit. Can't check it at the moment but if you aren't in a hurry can find out in the new year.

Yeah, I thought that was funny. I remember a bloke telling me that a King Scorpion frame is almost the same as a VR frame and like a dope I believed him. The geometry and overall design is pretty similar but I reckon the KS is made from tubing at least twice the wall thickness of the VR. I'd put a lot of work adapting the Honda engine into it before I realised that the Honda motor would have been far better off in anything other than a Monty frame. ;D

The VR frames while they may look simular are far different indeed the early VR's were renyolds crome moly and everything else was water pipe  ;D
