HI All
Might have to replace the current 40mm Mikuni on the 500XC - any benefit to going to a 44mm now /
Apart from sucking in small rodents and little kids of course ?

Gidday Subie - I understand the 44 was a difficult carb to tune (velocities lower due to larger bore) and the 40 made the 500 run much better.

does it use an off the shelf vm40? or are they modified like the yamaha , ie lightened slide , special needle jet and needle , machined /reduced in the casting spigot , ect ??
