Well thats weird as this has a wiseco in it ?  maybe the early model Wiseco blanks dont have em drilled in you do your own.  Might have to pull the piston out and recheck it.

 if it does have holes in it, could be somthing else going on in there

Some Wiseco's come without the holes and the instructions on how to drill. If you have been getting hot the bridge might need reliving a bit.Sounds as though is got a bit hot but so long as there is no aluminium pick up on the bridge, with 2 X 2mm holes and some 1200 wet & dry on the bridge all will be fine

I got a set of NOS YAmaha rings for that 250 L/K model 83/84 if any one interested - 4th over size too  :D

did i mention cheap  ;)
