KTM / '77 400cc

One of the yank mags back in the '70s had a test on a 400cc KTM. It was on the cover and they called it "white lightening". Does anyone have that copy and is this the model they were talking about?

Tech Talk / Straightening front forks??

Got a couple of slightly bent chrome legs of the forks that I would like to straighten. The worst one is about six mm out. None of them have a crease that could cause a breakage.
Guess I need some "V" blokes, but how do you set it up? Can I use an hydraulic car jack or do I need a heavy duty press? How do you find the exact spot to press on?

They are all bent just below the bottom triple clamp and although they are not bent by much, it is quite pronounced at the axel.

All are 35mm
Any help is appreciated

Competition / Motocross De USA

Yes, I know it isn't vintage but I want to know!

Found the points result of this years Motocross De Nations, no story, but it only listed two Australian riders. Reed and Byrne. Anyone know who the third rider was and what happened to him? Isn't there normally a reserve rider as well?
