Tech Talk / What oil in my shock?
« on: November 11, 2011, 08:36:26 pm »
What oil does the bike shop put in my Ohlins single shock.
1985 piggyback out of a Husqvarna.
Want to have a go at a rebuild for a bit of fun and education.
Cheers Mike

General Discussion / Question for deep thinkers.
« on: November 07, 2011, 06:03:06 pm »
I went trail riding on Sunday and as I was going over the bars on a particularly nasty rocky down hill bit I thought to myself.
Police/construction workers / soldiers all risk their lives but they get paid for it , here I am doing it for fun.

So are we crazieeee or are we the last of the fairdinkum warriors, the syko thrill junkies ,  beserkers ?

Ps I saved the over the bars one and went on later to run off track in 5th/ full throttle ,cause I couldn't make the corner.
Never got hurt but what a buzz. ;D

General Discussion / The Golden Tonsils
« on: October 15, 2011, 07:57:28 pm »
The Golden Tonsils has stated in a radio interview that he is too old to ride his bikes.
He says that Husqvarna's are his favourites but I remember him buying a KTM in the early 70's.
I wonder how many bikes he has in the shed as he was an avid collector in days past.
Could they be coming on the market ?
What wonders could finally come out into the light of day.

Husqvarna / 85/86 WR Chain guard ???
« on: October 10, 2011, 02:39:09 pm »
Has anyone ever come across a supplier of a chain guard for a 85/86 Wr 240/400 ?
Mate bought a 86/240 recently that had a reasonably new one fitted so they must be out there somewhere.
A couple of us are looking for them and have tried all the avenues we can think of.
Cheers Mike
