HVA Factory in the UK has stands and the uprated bracket to weld to the swingarm.
Just done one of mine. Well worth it.

I am fitting one to my 420 Auto , On the instruction it says to set the timing marks at BTDC 2.5 mm , not TDC 2mm like normal. What method has worked for you?

I fitted an Electrex World to my 390 Auto. Worst thing I ever did. A faulty unit cost me an engine. I do understand that many people are happy with the Electrex set-up.

I think you will find the 2.5mm is for a manual box. The Auto's are retarded a bit more. I run mine at 1.9mm

It's a great shame, but I think the owners of mxtrax have abandoned it :-(
I get mega virus warnings when I go there. So I don't anymore.

Well done, bet the smile was huge. Did fred make an electric box or did you use your old one?

I have used the box from the original one. It was new about a year ago, so should be good for a while.
The only other thing I "borrowed" from the other one was the kick start. The cotter pin type CCM lever is an extinct species.

Finally got to race the CCM on Sunday. Bloody perfect. Started 1st kick and didn't miss a beat all day.
Got some brilliant starts thanks to the bike, results are thanks to the rider  ::)  6th - 7th - 6th
Had a huge stupid grin on my face all day.

.... no ... the grey haired old man is not me .... they only ride Maico's  ;)

Not sure a new rotor and ignition will cure that. The original ones are quite bomb proof. The only thing I have replaced on mine since 1982 is the coil. Check the pickup air gap. Make sure your cam is set on the "KZ200" marks and look at your carb. The valve seats wear quite quickly too. Check your compression.

Just best quality silicone and very carefully matched cases. All courtesy of Mark and Anita at PES.
The chances of both of them running together at the moment is slim as I have pinched the Interspan box from the original. If I can afford another box, and persuade Fred to make it, then it may happen.

  ;D ... ha !
The real answer is to catch the drips from the overflow tube after I have run it up.

..... and, no. It does not leak oil, neither does the original one. The only one I've had that leaked oil was the Matchless 500. They have the worlds best primary case seal ...... not  :)

Well .... other than bolting the sump plate back on, it's done.
I have had a good 15 minute ride around a friends field, and all seems fine. I have changed all the oils and the spin on filter. No horrors found. I cut the filter open just to look in there too. Easter Sunday will be the first race meeting for it, so we'll see what happens. I intend to take it easy .... at first  ;)

Great video. Thanks  :)
Do the riders still use helmet-cams ? Or has that been banned by the jobsworths ?
