What do you get up to when your handbrake isnt around? Its okay it wont go past me and you can reveal all ;D

Ive even this weekend left the toilet seat up and drank red wine on the white lounge and haven't washed the dishes and to my knowledge not one fatality has occurred ( some may come if ive spilled wine).

I may shower in the morning instead of before bed ( is cool if I change the sheets before she returns)

Ive eaten No vegies or copious salad and havnt thought about shaving at all. anddd. fully intend on snoring my arse off all night

If I had a bike handy  assembly point one would be in the lounge aswelll.

General Discussion / Gheerulla trail bike area
« on: February 14, 2009, 12:11:42 am »
Seems someone I know intimately ;) has purchased a property with a view to die for on the sunshine coast hinterland . Pity about the lack of shed room but we can make do for a view like that.
Anyways while doing the usual recon about the place we find a sign that points to Gheerulla Trail Bike Area a meer bike push for an old fart (sorry stew)down the road.

Whats a guy to do? The pub is 500mtrs away with an awesome bottleshop as do most in the hinterland (HMM what does that say)The Bowling club is closer and a squillion miles of forest with a designated trail bike area.. and she is cute

Okay Im Moving what red blooded aussie wouldnt wouldnt.

Has anyone had any experience with the Gheerulla trail bike area?

Would be good to get a heads up on what to expect and facilities and terrain but i expect a good wet forest ride as its nambour area just better.

The obligatorya spare bedrooms for weary and not so weary travellers and about 30 mins to conondale and it wont be fookin freezing . ;D

General Discussion / Whats going on at ebay?
« on: May 25, 2008, 12:31:38 pm »
Have noticed this week  a few rather rare /desirable VMX bikes up for auction, some are asking premium  cash for them but  ya just dont see bikes like this advertised at the one time on ozzie ebay.

is everyone selling collections to cash in on the new found wealth or are they scared of the decibel ruling or some other other thing like athritis and winter setting in?

EBay narrows payment options
Wednesday Apr 9 23:18 AEST
New security changes to auction website eBay Australia will affect the way buyers purchase goods, and funnel more funds into its coffers.

Under the changes, direct deposits, money orders and personal cheques will no longer be listed as a payment option after June 17.

As a result, buyers will have only two options with which to pay: either cash-on-delivery, or via the online commerce website PayPal, which is owned by eBay.

PayPal accepts direct deposit or credit card payment on behalf of eBay sellers at a fee of between 1.1 and 2.4 per cent.

Like many of us I have an ebay account however, I prefer to pay for my purchases via direct deposit. I do have a Paypal account linked to my bank account  for nessessity  when DD is not an option. In linking to a bank account and not a credit card transactions take up to 6 days to clear.

ebay state they are implimenting this change to save problems. Like many others I believe that is not the sole reason nor the prime reason if ebay stand to profit by having the majority of transactions funnelled through thier paypal company.

This attempted monopoly i feel will drive many account holders away on search of other auction sites . if you feel like telling ebay how you feel about the proposals  give them some feedback at

For Sale / Kl250 and DT200L
« on: November 06, 2007, 02:51:39 pm »
KL250
80 ish heap of shit, maybe okay for parts , has new piston and a few heads
Not going  cause of the heads and i have lost interest in fixing it.

DT200L. New piston and rings  will make  an okay  bush basher/budget racer. not going either , needs head gasket and  bottom seals. Again lost interest in it  could do with a new disk and master cyl  and maybe a new shock and bushes .

Both bikes have pissed me off for the last time , maybe someone else wants them

PM me with an offer or a hard luck story as i just want them gone ASAP.
Girl has my camera  so I  cant take pics  this is the only one i could find

In Brisbane so ya will have to pick them up.
 cheers.

Maico / Kramer Maico
« on: September 11, 2007, 09:30:37 pm »
A recent reply in a maico topic by Lozza jogged my memory and as it so happened I was surfing the net last nite and looking for info on a bike i do desire, the Kramer which later became the Kram-IT . The IT  for italy was added after the company was sold  and they started using Villa powerplants i think.

Anyways I digress. I found a web page on The Kramer Maico  made by Tuner Mr. Adolph Kramer.
Its a twinshock monoshock  for the best description I can put into words
The bike is based on the 250 (stuffed if I know why either). . perhaps they also  modded the 440 as they im lead to believe share the same frame and just about everything else. .if they didnt mod the 440 they should have.

Info on the Kramer bikes is far and few between as it is with all rare and obscure classics . I wonder if any of the Maico officcianados can shed some  light on this marvelous bit of machinery.. and why the hell did maico go with its own disasterous monoshock effort when this was there and worked ?

Introductions / 185aholic
« on: July 25, 2007, 10:18:10 pm »
Hi Im pokey and Im a 185aholic  and it has been  234 seconds since i caressed my last 185.
My  affliction started  in 1977 when i spied a 74 model at Frasers  in Taree NSW that i   bought for $385  and it had three months rego and a sock airfilter and occy straps holding the tank and seat in place.
That was the bike i  learnt to ride on  in the forests  aroiund Taree and  it was hosed off. (sometimes) and then took me 20 miles to work and 20 miles home  during the week at a cost of $1.18 a tank and at a speed of Ummm shhh i was only On L plates  :-[

Now I have the project 185 . Same year model and have kept the same colour silver paint and  will  hopefully see her racing in the pre 75 250's  in the not too distant future. OOhhh . Almost forgot she be  a wee bit modified from stock ;)

Now the man. Ive never ever raced organised MX in my life , just forest and the odd  enduro  with reasonable results  so will be a big learning curve for me. I'm sure you guys will get to know me  and the silver suzuki .
If you have pre  ER model 185 stuff thats surplus to your needs do let me know.

cheers.. Proud to be a 185aholic
