Husqvarna / Color codes and spoke lengths
« on: October 11, 2014, 02:33:53 am »
Hi all!

Tried browsing and searching the forum for color codes with no succes, which is strange cause i know they must be here somwhere. What I´m looking for is colorcodes for frame and hubs on a -82 Husky. Also wondering if I could use the same spoke lengths when relacing the back wheel with a new rim, gonna use a SM Pro Platinium rim.

Cheers!

Yamaha / YZ490 spokes length

What spoke lengths do you reckon I need for rebuilding a YZ490 front wheel (double knock drum brake hub) with a SM PRO Platinium rim? Could i go with the same length spokes (original) or do you think I will need different lengths?

Honda / 1979 250 Elsinore

What you reckon a 1979 250 Elsinore would be worth? It's been used for between 5-10 hours and that's it. Needless to say the bike is in great condition.

Cheers!

P.S

Now instead of trying to find the bike which you propably won't, unless you speak swedish and are acustomed to swedish website www.blocket.se, please gimme a "guesstimation". I saw within how people started freneticaly searching the internet for Honda ads wondering if they missed something :-D

Howdy folks

Simple question, how long are the Ohlins shocks on a 1979 CR and a 1980 CR?

Thanks...

Suzuki / Suzuki breakers in Europe
« on: August 21, 2009, 07:32:07 am »
Hi folks!

Some of you might wonder why I ask a question like this here, but we are to ,my knowledge, quite many european users on this forum. What I´m looking for is a well sorted off-road breaker somewhere in Europe. What I´m looking for is new innertubes to a 43mm 1983 250/465? front forks. Mine are really dented and beyond repair, rest of the package is ok. By the way, if someone got a pair laying around the ol´ barn don't be shy...

General Discussion / Help!
« on: May 12, 2009, 06:30:31 am »
Hi folks!

My name is Jens I´m from sweden and have already gotten tons of help from the ozvmx forum. I´m in the start of a new project which is building a Suzuki DRM 400 (don´t be alarmed folks, I got a Honda and a Husky aswell AND a Honqvarna or Husonda or whatever you like to call it...) and almost directly I´ve run into a problem to which I´ve not found a solution... YET! My hope lies with you lot.

When fitted the RM swingarm I found that the DR400 rear wheel axle is too short to be fitted into the swing arm so what I´m looking for is a longer axle. Brand doesn´t matter as long as it´s diameter 17mm (actually 16.85 or something) and 285mm long EXCLUDING the bolt head. So please if someone knows how to solve this problem or have a bike with 17mm axle please please, with sugar on top, help me out... PLEASE?  :-*

Odd question folks but could you expect from the other side of the globe  ;)

Does anyone know how long a rear XR600 axle is, not including the bolthead? The thing is im in need of a 300mm long diameter 17mm axle and the XR600 use a diameter 17 axle.

Suzuki / Building a DRM 400

Hello folks!

Needing some advice on my latest project. Found me self a cheap -82 DR 400 this summer and since I already have a -80 125 RM chassis I thought what the heck, why not combine these two to make me the perfect thumper! Maybe this is the wrong way to go? Seen a couple of DRM conversions (only on paper though) before and they have all been based on RM 250/500 chassis (same chassis I belive) so my question is, is it possible at all, any big differences between a 125 chassis and a 250/500? The same wheelbase, ridehight etc etc or? If someone is sitting a 125 and a 250/500 I'll be glad to get some messurements and ofc DRM builders please point me in the right direction.

Full throttle folks!

Honda / Carb
« on: September 13, 2007, 05:50:42 am »
Gidday mates!

Got an easy(?) question with hopefully an easy answear. I have a 1981/1982 Curtis Honda (XR500R engine) with a Mikuni VM roundslide carb. My guess is the carb is a 38mm but I´m not sure... So, is the carb size inprinted on the carb somewhere or is it easy to meassure the carbsize? Perhaps a newbie question to the lot of you but hey! you gotta start somewhere!

 ;D

P.S.

BILL!!! If you read this please drop me a priv mess, I´ll prolly try and contact you on the forum now again when it's up, tried to mail you ALOT of times but but perhaps your mailbrowser sorts hotmail adresses as junkmail?

Anyway, if you still got the DR 250 engines I´ll be glad to relieve you off them!

Btw, you are all very lucky bastards there on "the other" side of the globe, heading for spring/ summer and sunny days on your bikes... Here in sweden the autumn just started, winter is waiting around the corner...

Full throttle folks!
