Nice pic!

It was a great weekend for sure.

Does anyone know where the photographers will be posting links to the pictures?

Does anyone know if the headlight and tail light required for the enduro loop need to be functioning?

Last one I went to (CD6) they just needed to be there...

Sorry to hijack the thread, but what does the red paint / epoxy stuff on the outside of the magnets do?

I was putting my PE175 back together last weekend and it had come away from the magnets in some spots and was loose in general so I took it all off.... Should I have put something there to replace it?

If anyone is interested here is the list of every winner of every shootout since 1980 according to Motocross Action magazine.

Thanks for the info Firko.

I have sent an email to a couple of blokes who used to edit the mag. I'll have to wait and see what happens.

If I get the go ahead I will put some pictures up of my ideas to get some feedback.

Cheers,

Ben.

G'day all,

Im sure this great photo has been seen on here before.

I am wondering if anyone knows where it originated from (old magazine?)

I would like to use it in a tshirt design and I dont want to have any copyright hassles in the future, so if I could in some way track down the copyright holder that would get rid of that worry.

Cheers,

Ben

Suzuki / Re: PE 175 84 shock

I assume the 84 is the same as the Z and D models. If so they are rebuildable, no problems. I had mine done by RAD Shocky repairs in Brisbane.

Still if you dont have the original shock this doesnt help you. Maybe a similar era RM125 shock would fit?

Be careful doing a tow start, or I should say, be careful who you choose to tow start you.

I had a "friend" tow start me once. Finally the RM fired up but the driver didn't hear it start (or wasn't taking notice) so i gassed it up a bit took my left hand off the bars to wave to him to stop. Dickhead kept going and when the slack was taken back up in the tow rope I foolishly was still waving frantically. Anyway the bars got jerked out of my hands, I went down, the bike went down my "mate" kept driving and somehow I had the bike pulled over the top of me. I wasn't happy. The bars and a lever broke and that was the last straw, I sold the bike after that (had also broken an ankle and a collar bone in the last 6 months.

It is funny to look back at now. I have some nice foot peg scars on my shin to remind me of the incident. And I cannot completely blame my friend.

Eventually the bike bug got the better of me again and I bought the PE 3 years ago. So a happy ending of sorts.

1982 PE175z
98 RON any brand
Castrol TTS @ 25:1

The manual says 20:1 but I think with modern oils I can lean it out a touch.

Not the best picture but the 1992 KX was a winner for me.

I was 15 when they came out so it was the bike I lusted for at that impressionable age.

Good to see you enjoyed the first ride and all went well. I too have been following this project and have enjoyed the whole thing.

Well done.

Last year they had the canteen running all the time. Steak sandwiches, burgers. hot dogs etc.

Not sure if the boozer was open all day though.

I assume you have adjusted them and they are still no good?

Maybe your cable is stretched?
