I have a similar set-up on my 83 480. It was on there when I got it, though it was 83 XR500 front end I believe. I put an 84 CR master
cylinder on it with new pads and it works well.

Hi John,
Your guess could be right. I was told back in the day to unplug or cut the blue wire  for more revs on the old RM100

If being original is not important, I've used Motion Pro Vortex throttles on many bikes for years with no problems.

Anyone know of a source for genuine or aftermarket clutch hubs and baskets for the 81 RM125X? seem rare from the usual suppliers.
