Sounds right  , I have one  that has Boge shocks on back are that length. I think Betors were original.

Are using all this modern stuff which was not around then taking away from what and how these old bikes were so changing the whole idea of riding old bikes instead of new bikes in old clothing. To me your cheating yourselves of what riding old bikes are about. Just my idea I know, it's not everyone else's.

If you need any advise about the AJS a friend has three Stormers and knows them inside out. His name is Ron Beaver lives on the Sunny Coast. I can never get used to that gear box!! Ignitions seem to be his worry about losing spark ,he still runs the points on his. Parts are easy to get from England.

The front ends are flexible and crap steering. ,I have a 400 I put different forks which helped.
