Yamaha / Re: IT 250 K AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY ?
« on: July 24, 2020, 07:27:35 pm »
I’ve wondered the same thing. The airbox warps over time so I can’t see the metal ring having a proper seal so you’d be better off not using it and buying a new Tow Designs cage. IMHO
The UNIFilter Is ugly but has a nice wide lip on it.

Would you have a good complete kick starter for the '94 YZ250, James? I'm looking to update the kicker on my '81 YZ250H
cheers

Hey Big Scotty, got yerself a pre 85 steed? The Proform and DG pipes that I've seen all should have come with a complementary sledge hammer to help you meld them to fit. Dunno about the 490 but the 250H needs 3x Viton 3mm o-rings put on the exhaust flange to make a snug fit. 125G didn't need any o-rings but the proform pipe hits on the frame and airbox.

The Technical Bulletin confirms your reading at 270ohms. Must be a misprint in the manual.

This site inspired me to do mine.

You've got a good canvas to work with and have made a great start baitfish. They're a great model. I found that clutch baskets and cranks were amongst the hard to find parts and was lucky enough to pick up a nos crank kit and i haven't seen another one come up since. All the best with the resto. I'm sure that you would have come across the YZ125G owners group on fb by now.

Here's mine from start to finish

Wanted / Re: 1985 Honda CR250 front wheel, caliper and caliper bracket

Rich, I've been running something like this set up (from the same supplier) for a few years on my CR. They were quite happy to switch the bracket over to the size I was after to suit my bike.

I haven’t taken any temp readings or scientific proof but I would have to say that my CR ‘appears’ to run cooler with the LI than when I was running socool.

I used Liquid intelligence in my '83 CR and it seemed to slow the process. Like Hoony though, I ended up getting an alloy cover for peace of mind.

I wouldn't hold your breath guys. I've been waiting months for him to sort out an order that he mucked up without any success. I didn't think that I would see someone have a business model worse than Maxwells', but you managed to do it Mick.

You probably noticed that you have a trick shock with the dual spring mod. Here's a write up on the mod from BITD

great model the G, however the 125H is the nicer box. it has a better filter stay & bolt set up making it easier to change the filter
