Hi Elsinore thanks for letting me know of your interest on the bike , maybe if you see a reply from another member to the Yamaha MX250 is why I am letting people know on this forum that I have a bike for sale. You see the post & let people know of a bike for sale who might be chasing that model , thats how i got my VMX bikes over 25 years ago word of mouth before forums. I am sorry if I made you annoyed. Anyway I am retiring so I will be gone soon.

Wow , another rock legend has passed , time is getting away , saw Motorhead on their 1984 tour at the family inn at Rydalmere & Caringbah Inn in sydney , still got the t shirt , NO HEAD NO BACKSTAGE PASS , gig got cancelled at Manly thou. Blew my ears apart , man they were loud , oh also saw them as a support for Metallica at the Horden on the Justice for all tour. Great Band. Good stuff.

Hi just sitting here on Easter Monday after a great family weekend I saw the post, all comments are true , the most I do agree on is you will always remember the era you first rode MX. For me I am 50 years old, lived in Roselands NSW while at school I had the disused brick pits at Kingsgrove after the mini bike club left , the paddocks from Kingsgrove to Salt Pan Creek Riverwood now the M5 , also Bland Oval , the legend of Menai , Kurnell sand hills yes there was once Hills there of sand. Near Liverpool Speedway went there once also. I even rode around the bottom of the Mountains now the built out suburb of Emu Plans when I visited family friends , bike always went in the trailor or the back of my friends mum's EH wagon ( could fit 3 80cc bikes with tail gate down ) later teenage years went to Hungry Creek , Black Put gully MX parks. Also when I was at the tracks I would also talk to other riders & ask if they know of other places to ride. Was in the local mini bike club near Wyong for 2 years now the extension of the Newcastle Highway. Many local bike shops , Beverly Hills , Bexley , Hurstville all gone. The magazines the brochure hunts at the bike shops. I lived & breathed dirt bikes. I sometimes look at the shed and bikes I own from the era and think how good it was to run home from school get the bike out and ride. Today where can I go for a quick ride

Appin ?? I am sure most people my age or bit older will remember the area you lived in before it got built out & the LAWS just got harder & costly. So was this the great era of Dirt Bikes ? Anyway happy Easter.

On the Honda advert mono in the office was it a XL 250 saying The Wildest Trail Bike to Hit The Streets was that for the red 1979 models , is that ad on youtube any where , who knows more on that ad, I used to love seeing it. Remember I think a cleaning lady had to get out of the way as the bike went down the stairs.

Hi All I have just looked through a parts box and I have 3 CDI's , I hope someone could id them for me All have Hitachi Type TIA01 16 701 next one is marked T1A01 16 702 next one T1A01 16 711 Hope to find what bike model they belong to. Thanks guys if you can help regards Graham.
