Nice track, shame all these fast flowing tracks are gone in Oz, the only exception i know is Conondale.

what is the idea of that rubber back thing at the entry to track...to control amount of riders at any given time ?

I just tap the seals in with a hammer, if they don't slip in with a finger push, never had an issue in 50 years :-)

yep i have been doing same for nearly as long, a soft faced hammer and gentle taps does the trick.

Hoony  , just start a thread about to start a CR 500.  :)

::) yep, that's going to Haunt me forever    ;D

in my defense on that Day at Ravenswood Victoria in the middle of winter, when we got to the track there was a thin layer of ice on top of the puddles as they were frozen overnight...very cold indeed.

I love this Forum.  :)

Me too, I don't know why more people don't contribute with either questions or answers.

probably because its virtually inactive these days, i used to check it out daily sometimes twice a day, now its every week or 2. as its slow with activity this is the reason not many check it out i reckon.

long gone are the days of the infamouse suzuki footpeg never ending story and the long threads on bikes like the sprite / american eagle / alron saga etc.

WR500 (YZ490 leftovers sold as WR500) the old YZ490 suffered from an inefficient head combustion squish i believe, they were notorious detonators.
i think its well documented what mods needs to be done on the squish to achieve good combustion, i don't know the answer but i read it a few times over the years and forget....too many beers ago  ::)

Interesting observation re scrutineering and sound levels. Some of us may remember times when there were no sound limits and no mufflers on 2 strokes.
We often did our own scrutineering in Victoria for "Chairs" as the solo guys weren't interested in us. Even now scrutineering needs some thought prior to entry.

Raymond Terrace is (was then )a long way away from built up areas.  This clown just wanted to use his authority and new toy . Just to clear it up , two strokes , for strokes or rotary engines use the same unit . I just made that up on day to move the man on LOL.

Ha nice bluff  8)    ;D
