Anyone got this on a motocrosser? Do you get away with forestry riding like rec rego in victoria? Was it hard to get?? Tell meeeee!!! The actual dribble on QLD transport web page seems to indicate it may be possible.

For Sale / 2006 KTM 300exc
« on: September 11, 2009, 09:04:29 am »
Hi Dirties,

With much regret I must sell my KTM300. When you are broke you are broke. At least I still have the CR500 to blast around on. KTM in great condition, I can send photos to anyone who is interested, FMF fatty, barkbusters, other than that it is stock. The motor has done just over 100 hours all up and about 14 hrs on the top end. Runs good is all good. Only thing I don't like about it is it has a Bundy Rum sticker kit. It looks good but i hate rum :D Rego is about to expire(QLD), but I could put more on, depending on buyers needs. It needs a new back tyre and one of the mirrors is cracked. I will fix all of this for registered sale, or sell cheaper as is. I am thinking about $6000 as is or with rego just add the cost of the parts  and rego needed etc. Bundy Drinkers this is for you ;D

Honda / 88 CR500 rear shock anyone??
« on: August 21, 2009, 06:12:29 pm »
Hi Dirties,

My mates 88 500 rear shock fell apart the other day. Anyone got one to sell or know of where to get a new one? He's riding my 500 until it's fixed so any help appreciated. The rod is bent and the thread where it joins the linkage is stuffed. Could probably fix the thread but the rod??

General Discussion / Anyone got an Arc I can borrow
« on: May 22, 2009, 11:12:50 am »
Hey Dirties,

No riding for me this week. It's absolutely major wet down my way at Lismore. Evacuations, leaking rooves, Levvy banks bursting. This is BULLSH*$. Lucky the old 500 is at the oldies in the desert but the KTM will have to be parked up on a hill in the rain chained to a tree..NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. So if anyone knows Noah or has their own arc I need to borrow it. Preferably a Honda Arc thanks. The water is rising , its coming right for us, tell the 500 that I love her aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh why meeeeeeeeeeeeee

Okly Dokely then,

I have been away from the net again ( why me). Man you guys know a lot about welding. :D

and the verdict is
If I get an experienced welder and make sure the earth is right near (how close?) to the weld and I disconnect all the electrics and they use the right type of welding can I get it done without stripping it down or is it too risky??
 :-\
Thanks

Hey Guys looks like I might have to pull the motor out of the 500 to weld the frame. Why me??

But still,

"Oh luv I gotta pull the motor out of the 500  to fix the frame before I can sell it. Why me?"

And by the time its fixed.

" Look the old girl just aint woth that much anymore luv  I better just keep it, it owes me too much."

Wicked ;D

Wicked,

Hey hoons are you running a Br7es (recommended) or Br8es (in my bike) plug. appreciate the powervalve info if ya can. I SHOULD HAVE A MANUAL IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS TOO.(BLOODY CAPS BUTTON!!! 50:1 is obviously OK with a good oil hey Hoony. I just can't seem to be able to do it. When it comes to mix time I seem to just go nup, it needs at least 40:1 .

Thanks for the info guys. I am pretty up to speed with jetting. Just shocks me the amount of people at bike shops who think if plugs are fouling use less oil in your premix ???. I was trying to explain to shop guy but he didin't get it. Nice dude though.
