Hi all

Rode dirt bikes from late 70's and stopped after my last bike which was a 96 CR250RT, Ride Red !!!

Real name is Murray, so yeh I did get called Honest Muz at times, loved his cartoons too!

TS100
XL100E
PE175T
XR200R
RM400T
IT175J
KDX200A1
IT200L
WR240 (86)
WR250 (88)
CR250RT

So after 20 years of not owning a bike, I recently scored a 79 RM400, and its good to be back!

Cheers

Wanted / Re: 79/80 RM400 cylinder studs

Help yourself out here mate. What length do you require ? The cylinder heads can be counterbored, shorter studs may still give you 6 threads of nut engagement, longer ones are obviously no problem.

59mm would be perfect, just like the pic above!

I'm not into machining anything out at this stage, cheers anyway.

Look at Partsshark Suzuki USA website, there seem to be 3 different size studs, and all are available from suzuki aust.

Nope that's a fail, part 09108-08067 not available

There you go, I know that many models use the stud I referenced above but the 400 is an oddball it appears.

Send me the dimensions of an old stud if you have one and I will see what might match up.

Yeh never used them on any other bike, bugger!

Here's a thread on the same issue from about 18mth ago:

I don't have a stud that I can check, but I believe the image below to be correct

Am happy if I dont get the titanium option  8)

That link is for the wrong part number.

They were never used on other bikes, only
the 79/80 RM400

All websites list as obsolete
