Cheers 80-85 Husky I was thinking the same myself.
Better to be rich than a hole in the piston or worse!!
Guess I'll order and test it in when I can.

Tech Talk / 1974 KX250 carb jetting for a new PFR pipe with alloy can
« on: July 21, 2016, 10:10:40 pm »
Hi all,
just new tonight, cheers for extra quick response Graeme, and wondering if anyone knows the correct jetting for a 1974 KX250 carb jetting for a new PFR pipe with alloy can.
The motor is stock standard, maybe first oversize, and ridden rarely by the past owner occasionally. Just to tick it over as he worked away from home a lot.
I have started VMX racing and live in metro Melb so can't really test it easily.
Any pointers would be much appreciated.
Cheers KX250A3

Hi all just started into VMX and this forumn and looking forward to getting some help and advise for the bike.
Haven't ridden for a while(3 years or so maybe) but I raced July 10th at Alexander and had a ball.
Great bikes and people and location.
didn't do too well in placings, waiting for results, but that wasn't the point all the same.
I'm not really a dirt rider per say, more so a road rider, but do love the dirt and two strokes.
A mate got me into dirt and my road skills went through the roof.
Started to look for gravel to square off on rather than avoid it.
Currently riding/racing a Kwaka KX125 1974, manual says A3 but whatever.
Interesting to ride against Bsa's, Maico.s, Husky.s, Ktm.s and others.
I wasn't expecting THAT nor the skill of the riders.
I thought I was going to do OK in the over 50's...mmmmm  same bunch of bikes. Bugger me!!!
