according to this it isnt.....

quote/
In 1984, Honda took a major gamble redesigning its award winning CR480R. It was a bike loved by the public and press alike, in spite of its flawed suspension and lack of top-end rev. For ’84, Honda started from scratch, and ended up with a hard-to-ride, confused mess. The all-new CR500R was too powerful, too softly suspended and too scary for mere mortals to manage. To be competitive, it needed major cubic dollars of motor and suspension work to bring it up to snuff. It was a big, scary, nasty, beast, which summed up everything that people disliked about 500-class machines. Sometimes, even the best fail to measure up, and in 1984, Honda shot for the moon, but fell well short of the mark.

Wanted / Re: 1984 XR500 Stand
« on: August 27, 2016, 01:06:31 pm »
G'day Mick, I've looked amongst my "stash" and couldn't find any stands for your model. Try this website, basically you register and put in a parts request, it goes out to all of the wreckers in Australia. They get back to you if they have anything.

www.findapart.com.au

Good luck,

Mark.  8)

done, thx
