I can't imagine that 1" after the shock mounts would significantly alter the travel.

Does anyone know what, if any, Yamaha swing arm I can bolt onto my MX-250 to get an extra inch of length?

Hello everyone.
First post. I have a chance to pick up a 1982 XL-125 for $50.00. The motor spins free but doesn't run. Are there engine and chassis mods that could kick it up a few notches without breaking the bank? This is totally for the sheer fun of it.

P.s. How do I download photos?

I picked up a 1974 Yamaha MX250 (yellow) a few months ago. It was in REALLY rough shape and, of course, I didn't recognize just how much work was required to get it into shape! I'm 58 yrs old and hoping to get back into vintage racing here in Alberta, Canada this 2016 season. (If my back will allow it!) If not, it should make a nice trail bike. We live close to the Rockies and there are endless mountain trails just a few hours away. Pray for me! LOL! I'm restoring it to racing shape not museum shape. Any tips, mods, upgrades, etc. from you all would be greatly appreciated.
Peace, Slow Poke
