Thanks to BMCC & Col in particular for helping me to get my bikes scrutineered late so I could ride Sunday.

It was great to see the 4 Stroke class well supported...

I am sorry to see the 4 stroke class missing for conondale.

I'm a bit biased though as I have 2 of them with another on the way.

For whatever reason this subject seems to bring out extremely strong emotion for some but I'm not sure why?

If there is an existing class that always has a full grid at Conondale, why would you get rid of it?

If there were 20 or more guys (or girls) with red bikes & a left hand kicker that wanted their own race & it was popular with spectators then that would be ok with me.

I don't think novelty races were a class back in the day but we have them?

Wanted / RM250/400 Swingarm

Hi, I am chasing a RM Twin Shock Ally (Banana) Swingarm for a project I've started.

I know they are a bit thin on the ground but I'm hoping someone out there has one or knows someone who has?

There is 1 in the UK & 1 in U.S. At the moment but with the asking price, the conversion rate & the delivery cost, the price is out of control.

Any help would be appreciated.

For Sale / YZ250H parts

Hi,
I am having a bit of a clean out & have some 1981 YZ250H parts for sale:

Bare frame in good condition $200
Bare swingarm in good condition $50
Bare tank in fair condition, bit grotty, needs TLC $50
Seat, needs new cover $25
Airbox $25-sold
$300 for the lot

There is also a couple of worn clutch baskets, need filing, still useable.
I also have a couple of sets of oem side covers + front guards that are a bit chalky & worn.
$50 for the lot

I just picked up a set of 77 YZ250 forks, triples, axil & spacer off US ebay.

As discussed above, I am chasing the single drain nib forks. If you had a set I would definitely be interested. Triple clamps would be handy too.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.

Yes the 77 forks only have the 1 drain nib at the back & aren't as long under the axil.

As it happens I do want the forks for a HL, I have 43s on it now & race it in evo but want to make it pre78.

I am also chasing a 77 Husky CR250/390 frame & swingarm as I want to build a replica of the original prototype HL. I already have the seat & tank, wheels, parts to make an engine & a 34mm Amal carb.

Any leads will be appreciated.

I guess I will have to limit the fork travel until such time as there is an amendment to the rule?

Yeah I know, I just want to get the period correct forks. I will shorten up the stroke if nessasary but if u saw how fast I ride u would understand that there is not much chance of me being subject to a protest?

By the comments on the forum regarding the 9" rule I think there is a pretty good chance the MOMS could be amended? Just need to put in the paperwork & get enough people to support it. There was some very strong resistance to 4 stroke class being added but it is now in there.

Opps, had this under the wrong heading, I'm a newbie!

Has anyone got or know someone who has a Husky 1977 CR250 or 390 frame & swingarm for sale?

I am chasing for a new project.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ps. I have a YZ250H frame, swingarm, tank, seat & airbox for sale.
