Can 360 internals be used in a 250 motor? If so, whats involved? Ive got a couple of spare motors and cases, I reckon a road registered 360 mk5 Matador SD/Frontera would be a blast.

Maico / 440 crank in a 400
« on: March 12, 2022, 01:18:36 am »
Ive pulled down my AW and have a 77mm barrel with a clearly marked 440 crank. That gives a 386cc capacity. I was surprised to learn the 400's were only 354cc stock. this extra stroke in theory should give more torque, but Im wondering what piston would fit as the different strokes should dictate different gudgeon pin heights?????? also the degrees before tdc for timing should be a little different to shouldn't they?? Has anyone done this mod? I'm interested to hear the benefits and specs of this setup.

Anyone know if you can undo the set screw in front of the drive sprocket and lift the whole clutch activator out of the cases? Or are there internal bits attatched that wont allow it?

I've written a program that may help you guys out when trying to work out how many cc's your bike is. It is a small program to get me reacquainted with visual basics coz I've got another bigger project in mind. I hope its helpful.

I've just downloaded Visual Basics, will try and make one. Ive made a few small programs in the past so hopefully I can knock one out. If I'm successful I'll share it.
