Wanted / Rear Brake Plate for a Rickman Zundapp
« on: November 08, 2015, 11:24:02 pm »
Hi all, I went to fit the brakes to the rear brake plate on my Rickman Zundapp restoration and figured out that I have the wrong brake plate. The brake plate I have is off a Rickman Montesa, or a later Rickman Zundapp with a cush drive hub. These had the brake plate on the clutch side (left hand side viewed from the front). The brake plate I need is on the opposite side (drive chain/gear shifter side for the Zundapp motor) for a conical rear hub.

Any info on where I can get one would be much appreciated!

Cheers,
Blake

Wanted / Front Axle for A Rickman Zundapp
« on: September 30, 2015, 11:10:18 pm »
Hi guys, I am looking for a front axle for a 1973 Rickman Zundapp. The axle is across a number of models I think (such as Bultacos), as the bike has 35mm Betors. The axle is 15mm, with a 20mm shoulder.

Any advice (or an axle to sell) is much appreciated.

Cheers,
Blake

British (BSA, Greeves, Triumph etc) / Rickman Zundapp Shocks
« on: June 10, 2015, 06:55:43 pm »
Hi guys, i'm in the process of restoring a '73 Rickman Zundapp and am trying to decide what rear shocks to run. Originally they were 13" Girling single springs. Does anyone have suggestions on a good allrounder shock that won't break the bank? The bike is to be used on trails and also for some vmx, but my skills aren't A-grade yet ;) Cheers, Blake

Wanted / Wanted Rickman Zundapp Parts
« on: November 17, 2014, 11:34:54 pm »
Hi guys, I'm restoring a '73 Rickman Zundapp and I am chasing a couple of parts, particularly:

- Motocross style expansion chamber (high pipe)
- Petrol tank

I also need a recommendation for a fibreglass maker; I need the fenders, seat pan and side covers for it.

Any help much appreciated!

Thanks for the welcome guys! I will try to make the vmxwa race meet, I have been meaning to check that out for a while.

Have you found the majority of your parts for the Rickman Zundapp through Europe Barry? Can you still find a lot of the Zundapp parts in Germany? I have only found parts through Ebay U.S. sellers, but key parts for the Zundapp motor, such as the front sprocket and piston never seem to come up!

Hi everyone. I'm new to vmx (and motocross in general). I have just finished restoring a '62 Tiger cub, back to original condition. I got it in pretty rough (not running) shape from the states, where at some point it was scrambled, with a lot of backyard modifications to it, including a normal screw made into a mixture screw for the monobloc, with a hand filed taper! Needless to say the carby didn't work! ;)

Finishing the cub I wanted to get an old bike that I could get out in the dirt on. I got a Rickman zundapp basket case, so I reckon that is going to keep me pretty busy! I am going to have plenty of questions for the experts on here. I'm still undecided as to whether to keep the zundapp motor or change it out, as the chrome in the barrel looks a bit worn.

Looking forward to having a chat.
Blake
