For Sale / 1982 Yamaha YZ125J

Looking to sell my 1982 YZ125. I rebuilt this bike about 18 months ago and have ridden 4 times since - have other bikes and just don't ride this one. It has new top end and bottom end, new rod, all engine seals and bearings replaced, new cables, bars, levers, tyres and wheel bearings. Front and rear suspension rebuilt, new chain and sprockets, swing arm bearings and wheel bearings. Have changed most screws to SS, plastics are original except for rear fender, seat cover replaced, frame blasted and painted in 2-pack. Located at Canungra (between GC and beaudesert) can Drop to Brisbane or GC. Looking for $2700. 0419 413 850

G'day Lawrie

Firstly, I rode the Saturday and although I only managed one lap of the track on Saturday (many reasons) it was a ripper of a track and a great venue. I've never been out there before buy will certainly make it back for the August ride.
I have only been into the vintage scene for the last 3 years but have ridden with QVMX for 3 years, did the Masters Games and the Conondale Sprint for the last 2 years. The comment that I have heard from many people involved in the organisation of these clubs and events seems to be the lack of good rider numbers. I agree with what a few others hear are saying and there needs to be better sharing of upcoming events between clubs or maybe a email list of people who are interested in Vinduro. Ultimately it would have to benefit all clubs and surely that can't do any harm.
I know with the Murphy's Creek Rides, I only found the info via this forum. I admit I'm a long way from being overly savvy with the various forums but both myself and my friend had trouble getting definite details as to where, when and what times.
I had only been at a QVMX meet a week before and there was no mention of the Vinduro at all. Somehow we need to get all the SE Qld clubs to support each other better and spread the info more as it will only help to encourage the old boys with old bikes out to these types of events. It would be great to see more vinduros in SE Qld and surely there must be more people wishing the same.

Buggered if I know, ebay is a mysterious place where sometimes you find it, sometimes you don't. I know I've stumbled across random parts and gone back looking for them only moments later and can't seem to find them again.
I searched "ebay global" which will generally bring up results from anyone who will ship to Oz, when you search it will sometimes bring up a category called "more items from international sellers" I clicked on that and found the part. I always try different names and spelling and sooner or later you can nearly find the part you need somewhere in the world. I'm just finishing a IT465 build, it's the 7th bike I've done and ebay has always been a handy source of hard to find parts.

I've got an entire YZ465 motor but don't really want to part it out. There is a clutch cover of a 1980 IT250 on ebay (global shopper) this is the search address http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/380407437680?nav=SEARCH it looks like the same as the H models.

I'm chasing one for a friend. If it's finished he will be happy, if it's a project I am sure I'll end up rebuilding it for him so either option is of interest. Ultimately we want to get it registered for the road.

G'day Col, Yes, have entered, sorted the one day licence today as my MQ licence has expired and am a member of QVMX. Did you end up getting the IT175? - I spoke to you on the phone a few weeks back about the Masters Games (and all things VMX) and we got onto the topic of IT's
