Thanks Doc, I have been given a couple of different answers, the old owner said the one at the front has a spring and cam so I figured it was the rear one. Cheers

Does anyone know which of the two plugs is the drain plug? One in the middle facing straight down, or the one at the front on an angle?

Tech Talk / Re: Ikon shocks any good?

Just don't want to see anyone else on here get the same result. Lot of money to throw away on a product I thought would be reasonable value, wasn't expecting Ohlins but expected them to last more than a couple of laps!

I must be unlucky, bought a pair for my RM125B, they failed after a couple of rides, sent them back to Ikon (at my cost) they conceded there was a problem, rebuilt them and sent them back. Used a couple of times since, and they have failed again. One has lost damping and bottoms (locks up) after about 30mm travel (hit a hole in the track on the weekend and felt like I fractured my spine). Not going to waste my money sending them back again, have lost total faith in the product. Mate of mine bought a set, they leaked after first ride, they didn't want to know him. What a waste of money, cost me $700 and I am putting the 40 year old originals back on. Not happy.

Wanted / Re: WANTED: 15" (380mm) rear shocks for RM250B

I tried to buy some new Gazi's for my RM125B. Happy with the price, asked him to build me a set but they just didn't seem interested. Told me it would take weeks to get the components etc and virtually didn't want my money. Gave up and went elsewhere.

Wanted / Forks wanted
« on: September 26, 2016, 04:22:10 pm »
Hi Guys, I have a mate in Melbourne who is looking to replace the front forks on his XR75.

It currently has 31 mm 1983 CR80 forks running a 19" front wheel but wants to make the bike eligible for PRE78.

Can anyone recommend a set of bolt in leading axle forks to suit this set up.

Research suggests Elsinore CR125, XL100 or XL185 or CT200 could be possible options.??

Preference would be a complete set including triple clamps.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I looked at those speeds too, it appears it adds the average speed per lap by the number of laps ie: if you averaged 40kmh each lap and did 3 laps it will show 120kmh. I know I wasn't hitting over 100kmh for sure!
