« on: June 28, 2014, 12:20:25 am »
Hi,
I just gut this Fork and somebody told me they have been used on some Maicos... i have no idea.
He also said it is called "MDS-Mueller Damping System".
It seems to be in good conditiong, holding air and no scratches on the tubes, i want to sell it but i have no idea how to describe that thing.
any idea? also, what can i ask for it?
Thanks a lot
Michael

Yamaha / Dt1 Carb Spacer
« on: June 11, 2014, 09:32:05 am »
Just wondering ... whyt is the huge spacer between carb and cylinder on the dt-1 for? is it really necessary? what effect would it have to remove it apart from having to find some new connection to the airfilter?
There´s no specific reason, just everytime when i work on my bike i´m asking me this question..
any idea?

thanks a lot guys. i assume when talkin about dt 400 you mean the type 512, 6 volt,  not the first cantilever model which was called dt 400 MX over here in germany?

Just noticing in the last 12 months a lot of people having trouble with kickback which they did do but fit up a DT 400 electronic ignition on any 250/360 that has points and all is solved no more sore feet or calf muscle ;D.It is such an easy fit up cheers

sorry, might be a dumb question, but i have no idea of all that electric stuff... which one will fit, ignition from type 512, or dt 400 mx? can i do that on my dt-1 E and my rt-2, too? what exactly do i need? thanks a lot.

don´t know how much the reserve was, seems like maybe 2000 euro or so.

It is a mx400 but they are a 75 . The drilled swing arm is a stupid idea how in hell is water or dirt to stay out . nice bike though how much was the reserve . They have a great power spread like a tractor . Iain

check this one, was offered on ebay and didn´t meet the reserve. said it´s a mx 400 1974. i have no experience with these bikes... but but a closer look that swingarm looks almost homemade to me.. is it really a 74 400 MX?
