« on: June 13, 2014, 08:44:07 pm »
Hi all, been waiting for a while for one to fall into my lap..to no avail, so its time to go on the hunt…..ideally would like a complianced 1988 yz 250….
i know they are out there somewhere !! or if i must compromise…a "standard" 88 yz will do.
Looking for something on the better end of the scale, dont really need another long term project.
Any leads appreciated !!

I am madly trying to get my yz250k ready for CD10, have just purchased a dg pipe and the instructions say re-jetting will be required.
any K owners out there that may know what size is needed?
Also i am rebuilding the rear wheel and the shop wants to know the offset….at the risk of sounding stupid, what is the offset, and how do i measure it??
any help greatly appreciated.

advertising for a friend,....he bought it from original owner who flipped it after riding for a week or two (on the farm, not the track)
it scared him so he put it in the shed for the next 30yrs.
My mate bought it and has only ridden it a handful of times (think he's scared of it too !!)
It's no show stopper, but its all original, straight, very low hr bike.
LOCATED IN NTHN NSW, NEAR BYRON BAY.
if interested, call  ANDY on 0412271838
ASKING $3000
I have a few "night shots" of it which i can email, but i think i'll try and get some better photos this weekend,

Introductions / hi all
« on: July 30, 2013, 09:02:53 pm »
Hi everyone, another new member here.
I currently live in nthrn nsw, but am looking at moving to the central coast nsw at the end of the year and maybe joining a vintage riding club.
Am absolutely addicted to old bikes (and cars), although my budget restricts me a lot, currently i ride a ($500) xl500s and am trying to get my ($800)yz250k
ready for cd10.
My friends rarely ever ride,so im lucky if i get out once a year!!, pretty sad i know!!
i only really got into vmx after visiting cd6 at connondale, rode at cd7 & 8, but missed 9......going through major withdrawals now.
Looking forward to meeting fellow enthusiasts at cd10 !!!
cheers.
