Competition / 3 Day Unregistered Vehicle Permit requirements.

3 Day Unregistered Vehicle Permit requirements.

In order to comply with Vicroads standards for a UVP to be issued for
unregistered bikes at our upcoming event, these are the requirements the bike will be need to meet at scrutineering prior to the bike being able to be ridden at the event.

As they are the requirements established by Vicroads to comply with the permit, they are not negotiable.

A rear vision mirror fitted to the right hand side
Brakes fitted to both wheels, capable of working independently if one brake fails
One head lamp
One rear red tail lamp
One rear red brake lamp (Can work of either foot pedal or brake lever)
One rear white number plate lamp (Clear section of tail light lens)
A silencing device which restricts the noise level to 94 dBA or less
An appropriate horn or warning device.
A chain guard that protects the rider from the front chain sprocket.

Naturally the rest of the bike will need to be in a safe and serviceable condition.

VERi is grateful to Vicroads in assisting us to allow our riders of unregistered bikes to enter this event.

Kawasaki / Re: KDX 240
« on: November 19, 2018, 07:20:35 pm »

I've got a 240 kit (72.5mm) in an '83 and I'm converting a '88 to 240 as well.
Used barrel, a used piston from the '83 and a new set of rings.

I don't remember what jets are in my '83 but I'll have to get into it with the '88 as it's a standard 200 at this point.

Look after that piston, you can buy rings for them but getting a piston (they came in 72 72.5 and 73mm) is an impossible task as any rare kdx part I've sought.

Standard 200 carb is 34mm 300 main 35 pilot from the service manual.

In relation to the power valves, I adjust the valves to the rack by eye. When you do this it very obvious when it's right and it's simple to do.
The Kawasaki manual I have has this timing listed incorrectly and it took me ages to accept the manual was incorrect.

Love the 240, can't go back to 200cc !

General Discussion / Re: Sciatic nerve

G'day viewers and thanks for all the feed back, so happy its not a op situation. It appears I have a tight butt lol the bum cheek muscle is strangling the siatic nerve. I've been given some stretches to release the tension and been told not to try so hard lol
30 years of on & off pain and its down to stretching. farrrrrk'n hopefully this is the go, as it'll be nice to find some normality in the body's movement's. jimson

Same issue in my right leg glute area.

Same diagnosis.

Stretching fixes it, and sometimes I pay a massage person to do it and although it hurts and they tell me to be quiet  ;D, it helps a lot.

Saturday 10km ends at mx track.

Sunday approx 140 km.

First 35 km loop ends back at camp to refuel.
30 km to fuel at McClures.
60 km loop back to McClures (optional to refuel if required) then additional 20 km or so back to the start.
RIDERS WILL ONLY DO 1 LAP OF THE WHOLE SUNDAY COURSE.
The Saturday course uses none of the Sunday course.

Unregistered bikes for Harrow.

This the form you need for the permit to ride your unregistered bike.

Please print the form, fill it in, email it to us at [email protected] , and we will confirm receipt.

THERE IS NO OTHER WAY. NO POSTING BY MAIL.
Mail is unreliable and we can't confirm receipt to you.

This needs to reach us by SUNDAY 15 JULY.

We'll then forward them to Vicroads.

Vicroads want all of the applications at once so if you miss the deadline, we can't risk all of the applications for anyone who may have missed the deadline.
