Wanted / KDX 250 Tank
« on: May 29, 2018, 05:38:10 pm »
Hi all. I'm looking for a fuel tank to fit a 1983 KDX250. Purchased a good bike but the tank has let go some how and exhaust has burnt a hole in the bottom. I know it may be a big ask but someone may have one sitting around.
                                                                  Cheers Chippy.

Trail & Track / South Gippsland Trail Ride
« on: January 28, 2017, 08:25:21 pm »
Hi all. As posted on the IT Yamaha forum, I'm inviting any riders wishing to join us for a great trail ride at Turtons Creek in south Gippsland on April 8 and 9 for old bikes or new. Some type of rego is required as some roads are used. Camping spots everywhere. Main ride on Saturday with recovery on Sunday.
April is a great time of year in this temperate rain forrest area. Put it in the diary, come along and meet new and old friends.
More details as we get closer.
                              Cheers Chippy.

Keep them coming Troy. Chris's fibreglass  doesn't happen any longer , so you will have to make do with what you have.

Just thought I'd share some more photos of my replica HL.  Got Geoff to make a swing arm with the lower shock mounts further back.  My feet can touch the ground now.  Fitting an IT175 NOS tank, made an encased chain guide and converted the rear brake to cable to complete the package.  Its almost ready to fire up.

Any updates HL500. This bike looks fantastic.
                                               Cheers Chippy.

I need to purchase one for my MT125.

You might have to sell something Troy. There can't be much room left in your shed.
Good get. Looking forward to pics of the finished product.

Great pics again mposs. Some very loud mini bikes (Chinese). And some awesome riding on the old bikes.
Boagy does put up a good venue and still rides at the pointy end.

Hmmmmmm a bit to expensive. At that price it would want to be brand new.

Could someone message me the proper link so I wont miss the event.
Thanks it was a great weekend last year.

I think I just stepped back to 1984, or somewhere there abouts.
All those Jap bikes we were riding in the bush back then.
Thanks Goeff. Brings back great times with mates of old.

Can't wait for the next one.
It's not about racing, but more about the gathering.
