I heard a whisper the other day that they may converting the broadford speedway / flat track to be a long track as well, by putting a straight through where the dog leg is. Just had a look at google earth it would not be a perfect oval and they would have to move the speedway control tower.

I have an old DT400 motor siting in the shed, just need a rolling chassis / frame, I was thinking any of the pre 80 road bike single or twin, is there an ideal length of wheel base to work with? I guess it also comes down to how cheap you can get everything together for. what is a ball park $ figure for the tank & rear guards?

Dad, Terry Rooney and Graeme Juniper, from an article announcing the opening of the new altona track back in the fifties, i believe that both bikes are Corgies.

Rosco, Ian still lives at the same place, he has recently done a bit of riding classic sidecars with SSRAV. this is a photo with him as passenger with me riding at Broadford about 5 years ago. David Cottrell had built the bike around the same time he started building and buying up the vincent outfits.

Wayne, i too for obvious reasons are a big fan of the kawasaki triple, I now have the sidecar, but have not had too much oppotunity to ride it due to work commitments
