Managed to cut a new thread on the shaft and put a nut on. Much happier now.

I give my vote to generic Wheel Silver as suggested previously. It's a good match for most engine cases and your frame I'd say. Coxy

The previous owner of my TS400J had a problem with the front sprocket. Wish I could attach a photo. They have ground off the thread and drilled a hole through the shaft and inserted a split pin and also tried to weld the sprocket to the shaft, without much luck.
Does anyone have a spare countershaft laying around for sale or suggested remedies for the problem? Thanks, Coxy

Yea Tony, now your talking. Thats exactly what I have. I just didn't know what should have been inside the cover and how the tag would touch and make the connection. Thanks

Thanks for the info. I was just wondering because the outside plastic cover has been repaired on my 400 and the connection for the wire is no longer there. I will have to get the gearbox i neutral and use the little arm that rotates to locate the position of the connection for the wire.

Hey Shane I'm after one as well. What model are you restoring? I have an A model. You can get expansion chambers from a couple of guys but they are for a side port. Standard mufflers are very scarce it seems. My has a lot of rust holes which I have filled with Quicksteel but won't know if it works until I put the bike back together, which is a slow process. Hi all, I am after an exhaust for my TS 400 A. I have a muffler already. It is a centre port motor. The original is badly rusted (read stuffed). I am in the process of rebuilding the bike and will need one of these to complete the project. Ideas and offers welcome. Coxy
