Hi EKKA
I don't go on the forum much anymore for good reason. What a bunch of tossers who have commented on the Husky. I own and race a similar bike and use a smaller tank for racing which is what this bike is set up for.
I raced against EKKA when I lived in Canberra and like me that is what his bikes are for, not some show pony to sit in the corner. Half of the comments are from blokes who turn up to classic dirt with there perfectly restored better than new machines who don't know that VMX stands for vintage motocross not vintage show and shine.
5K is a good price as mine cost a lot more than that so it's a great deal.

Husqvarna / Re: twin shock wr 510's
« on: June 09, 2014, 09:33:02 pm »
We have 3 twin shock EVO's racing in our club BMCC 2 x TE's and 1 x TX. I own the TX and I know of another TX in north QLD. There are at least 4 water cooled pre 90 510's in Brissy and 2 x air cooled pre 90's. There is at least 3 or 4 hidden in sheds ready for restoration around brissy gold coast but still waiting for them to surface.
My TX is an original Oz sold bike I met the original owners brother at Classic dirt 9, it was later owned by Tony Mcmahon from retro racing, still has the retro sticker on the swingarm. I am the third owner since retro racing and it will never be sold. Regards

Need a 115 or 120 main jet for Jikov carbi to run my 59 Jawa at the CMX Nats.
Or will but a 30 or 32 mm carb complete with the same main jet.

There is no 175 barrel in the world for this bike as i wont change a thing except fuel and oil. It is a sachs 125 5 soeed which DKW used the same motor, frame and exhaust are different. There is a DKW in issue 18 of VMX and although it has 5 gears and 4 neutrals it should be a fun bike. I had a brief ride and it goes pretty well for a 69 125. Love the earls fork it is smooth and lifts up when you brake instead of diving, very strange.

I have just bought a pre 70 125 and was going to race in the pre 70 250 class as there is no 125 class. Is this OK as I just read about bikes riding up classes in EVO and thought I should ask the question?

Please note that my comments are an expression of interest not what is happening nor has the club BMCC discussed this idea.
I just am passionate about the sport and I'm so pissed off with the Canberra out come that I like most want a solution.
Please note that I am no longer BMCC club president and do not decide which direction the club will go.
If any club is willing to take on the CVMX titles I am willing to give my advice and experiance to assist in the 2013 Classic motocross titles.

The event has to be run on the same date no matter which club runs it as this has been allocated by MA.

We ran last years CMX titles at a profit and we had to design a track on land run by MQLD and the track was not licenced when we first applied.

We worked for 12 mths to get every assett of running last years CMX titles correct, how is it now at the 11th hour they are cancelled.
The ACTMCC has been a shit fight between the dirt track and Motocross for ever and I know because I was on the commitee. Why aren't ACT motocross putting there hand up to use the existing MX track. I rode a pre 78 bike on the track before the big changes of late and they just avoided the stutters, the track was fine to ride and table tops are easy on old bikes you just land on top if your too slow.

If the venue was moved back to QLD at Wyaralong again or some other track would the other states support it, I know WA would because they are committed to the titles already, just need to point the truck a bit north.
I want to know who was coming to ACT and would now travel to QLD.
BMCC ran the CMX titles last year with 161 riders and everyone praised the event and track. We should be able to get at least 150 so  we can salvage the CMX titles.
Nothing has been decided but its just a thought and would mean my outlay to build a pre 60 bike wont be wasted. ;D

Popeye if the top end is good such as head and valves the rest wont cost much to fix. Once they are set up they start easily and just need the oil changed after every race meeting or at least every 2. I will have mine at Nudgee on the weekend but im just racing in the 4 strokes due to bringing 4 bikes.
It would be great if you got one because thats 4 x 510's in 1 club, probably the most in Australia. Is it a TE,TX or TC.

I got my entry in finally after 10 attempts due to my Email getting attacked by a virus which suddenly appeared after I was on nominate for the conondale classic. Just sent it to Russel then hope it gets to him, I have had the entry not arrive before so hope all went well. Can't wait to ride at our track so the mighty SL 100 has a better chance than on a 2 km drag race. It was almost going to have the new engine installed but the head isnt ready so will have to wait till next BMCC race meeting.

Wanted / Re: Pre 60 bike for CMX titles in Canberra
« on: July 06, 2013, 11:33:34 pm »
Thanks everybody for their efforts in finding me a pre 60 bike. I have a Jawa on the way from sunny emerald thanks to Dave A putting me in touch with Ray S.
Thanks for the offer Firko but I live in QLD since 2005 not sunny Canberra anymore.
Just need to find a bike for super senior for the same class but he might go for a proper c15 not a hybrid.
Thanks again and it's amazing how well our vintage network can communicate.
See you at Canberra.

Thanks Montynut would love that bike due to being half craut and half skippy. Has already been relisted at over 6k so thats to rich for me.
Thanks Mainline I will be riding the SL100 in the pre 75 125 class but have increased engine size to a huge 125cc. I have now won on this bike in standard trim a third at club level for pre 75 50-59 class and just came third at the QLD titles for the same class. There was more than 6 riders in the class at the titles but I stayed upright and finished all 3 rounds. You dont need to have afast bike just a constant result.
I have found a couple of BSA bantams on ebay but would prefer something local to Brisbane.
