I'm going to keep this offer going for another week if no interest i will pulling all the bikes off the for sale section.

The buggy will still be up for sale though, I was thinking about keeping it, but I just don't have the room to use it. (my old man was getting sick of his green grass getting ripped up)

$300 for the 125
$400 for the 140
$600 for the 200
$350 for the buggy

I'll be putting them on ebay after xmas, when all those kids have money to waste

yeah I know you guys are vintage, but your still into bikes and most vintage collectors still have a newer arm ripper around

also the way the freestyle boys talk you would think anything built before 2003 is vintage! bloody kids selling $6-$8k bikes!!! kids! like 15 yo kids! where the hell do they get the money from!?

I just noticed that once the dirt has been cleaned off there are some fairly new looking parts on it!

the rims look SHMICK! and the brake or clutch lever (can't remember which side the new one was one) looks brand spanking new!

Hello

I have
1 x 125 pitpro
1 x 140 pitpro
1 x 200 maxis
1 x offroad buggy

I want to swap all these things for a real bike plus cash adjustment your way

I'm looking for a 2 stroke 250cc, was thinking Suzuki RMX.... but will consider anything you have to offer.

125 runs perfect but has flat front tire.

140 runs perfect but has seen some heavy use and is starting show cosmetically.

200 runs perfect, electric start, I beleive road registrable, but has been used in the bush so cosmetically average.

Buggy will run with some work, has an old RM100 motor, and will scar the shit out of you when going, needs muffler & kick start. I think it just needs a tune, I had it idling a couple of months ago but would stall when put in gear, mate f**ked with the carby and now I can't get it going again, but goes really well when going.

I will pay $1000 plus all the above for the right bike.

if you want pics send me your email and I'll try and organise them, may be a little hard as they're all located in different area's, so be patient.

I'm located in Monbulk Vic

contact me through here or email bsdutton at bigpond.com

fun for the whole family!

no pics of the Maxis thingo yet

For Sale / 1980 XT250 parts/whole bike [SOLD]

SOLD SOLD SOLD

I found  the old girl down the back of the farm in a shed we don't use

Yamaha 1980 XT250

seen better days!

the story I was told was the previous owner had a bad accident and hit a tree, and the bike was never used again.

front is a little off, rear swing arm is bent, missing exhaust, and spark plug lead, I was going to try and get it going for the farm but it needs to much work I can't be bothered putting in.

I have been assured by friends of the previous owner that it will run, and was running fine when dumped in the back shed, it's just not pretty to look at.

$200 come and pick it up

located Monbulk Vic

i will try and get pics up soon

Mate is it possible that when you put the carby slide back in that the slide groove did'nt line up with the the little peg inside the carb. therefore holding the thing on full throttle. This happened to me on an old TS approx 25 years ago. you have to spin the carby slide a bit to line it up and sometimes the needle has a bit of trouble lining up too-same result
Cheers Brett

I'm pretty sure it was all aligned correctly, as it seemed to only go in one way, and the needle was a pain to line up as well but I'm sure I got it all together right ???

there's a Carb on Ebay, I might just buy that if it's cheap enough.

I cleaned the carb last time and I cleaned it again today, I could definitely rev it, I could keep it running just by a touch of throttle, but it would die as soon as you where off the throttle, come to think of it niether the air/fuel mixture or the idle screw made much of a difference.

update

I got it going, but it wouldn't idle, no matter if the idle screw was all the way in or all the way out it didn't change anything, but it does move the piston in the carby ??? so I would assume it would be working...

any way could only get it running without air filter, so I need a new one of those, and once we started playing around with the air/fuel it wouldn't run again.

so I'm just gonna buy a new plug, filter and maybe a kit for the carb, if it doesn't run after that I'll be selling it

I spend to much time on things that don't work ::)

yeah kill switch is one of my other issues

It has one, it just doesn't work!

I figured the wire was earthing somewhere, so traced it all and fixed a couple of dodgy points, but it still doesn't work, tested the switch with a test light and it's all fine. so my next step is running all new wire!

and am I right in thinking it should be hooked up to the black and yellow wire?

When you screw the mixture screw all the way in be gentle at the end when it seats. If you over tighten you will damage it. Just keep a steady turn going until it just stops then back it out the 1.5 turns.

thanks for the advice  ;)
