General Discussion / Re: Terry Hay's Shit Treatment
« on: July 29, 2015, 06:36:26 pm »
Never had a problem with Terry, rang up and ordered a seal head for the rm465, no problems, in the post and easy to talk to.
BUT
Talk about old mate in SA sir Walter at YSS or Suspension Shop and you have a store of no customer service.
Get home from Bathurst last month and one YSS shock has leaked on the floor of the toy hauler. Speak to a local suspension guy who does Liam's suspension and sent off the shocks. He pulls them apart and rings old mate Sir Walter. After speaking to him for a short while Sir Walter states that nobody to work on the YSS shocks and he won't sell him the seals.
So i ring Sir Walter and mention Pete Rindlisbacher and Dean Burt who are mates and Sir Walter says yes i know them, but no you are not alowed to buy the seals. Must have watched Seinfield Soup Nazi Episode. Sir Walter is the only one who can work on the shocks and nobody else.
Rang Maxwell Motorcycles who bought Les Richters VMX Unlimited and they didnt have any parts. Unbeknown to me they also rang Sir Walter asking if they could buy the seals as Les had originally done the shocks and put them on the Maico i purchased. Well the conversation didnt go too well and Sir Walter even hung up on the people who purchased Les's business, what a way to run a business.
So if you want some really great over the top customer service that will blow you away with the friendly nature of the person on the end of the telephone give Sir Walter a call. As i said to my mate Pete Rindlisbacher that was a waste of 5 minutes and money spent ringing Sir Walter.
Im looking to buy something else now and not NOT definetely NOT YSS.

Cheers

Hello Slakewell,
He won the first race in the morning, the yz250 was running great. Second race was sitting in second place closing in on first and about to make it a race when as he said it just lost power. Initially he thought the spark plug cap had come off. He could kick it over, didn't seize but no spark.
So dnf. After pulling it apart and seeing what's going on it appears to be internal. A real bummer.
Great weekend apart from the 3 lap dash. GCR come out saying 4. Before a wheel is turned those in the know shorten the races to 3 because we have so many races. We finished at 1.30 Sunday and had lunch breaks on Saturday and Sunday , turned it into a 1 and 1/2 day event. Could have and should have done it over 4 laps min!!!!!!

We frame at the rear, loops around. The CR are cut and plugged just behind the seat bolts. Not worth the $.

That's all the bikes I can get to SA, plus no age racing in pre 78. If you know of any other bikes pre 75 that are half decent let me know before Monday close.

The arm is getting better, plated last week and should be okay. The ribs are giving me grief so hard to get comfortable sleeping.

Cheers

Evo 250 lap times 1.58.3 and 1.59 , air cooled drum brakes!!!!!only 4 riders under 2 minutes all Day

Racing has been great but some competitors are very slow causing problems being lapped. One rider was lapped 4 times in one race. Shouldn't be on the track.
