Umm KTM per-chance :P

Hope to see you back at VMX meetings in 2016 Adrian. Along with your younguns 8) :D

Actually not a KTM, but close. Husaberg....
I'm working weekend nightshift at the moment, so riding is restricted to trail riding mid-week.  ;D
But these things can change in a whim.
Quite happy doing the vinduro's at the moment.
It's only been just over 12 months since smashing my wrist badly on a snowy mountains tour... So just taking it easy, too easy to get sucked in and go that bit too hard in the mx track.

Cheers Nathan, i haven't followed much on the forum lately to know who does the transport stuff (other than Gallaway).

Crisis averted, wifes cousin got it sorted for now.

We can come to an agreement on some dollars to help out.

Just PM me please.

Buy the 541/540 type piston from the 73-81 bikes. They are essentially identical, but you then need to drill the holes for the reed to work.

Time for a complete rebuild by the looks. Bearing cage failure as the other guys mentioned, gone up the transfers and pinched between the head and piston, hence why the ring is stuck...
You are very lucky to have trashed the cylinder.

Rod kits and Pistons from Andre Horvarth or Al Beuhner.
Might only need top end, are you sure the air filter/boot was sealing and you didn't dust it?
If you can't do the rebuild yourself, I'll help out.

Good point Shoey!
Yes it has a 38mm Bigk. Daz wants it to roll on better in the low to mid. We are going to try a 36mm to see what change we get.
