I'm looking at buying a rolling chasis (no motor). Anyone know if it would be cheaper to box it up  or just roll it in? Any advise would be much apreciated.

I posted this in the Honda section also. I'm looking for an alternative to the std "88 CR500 kickstarter. They have stopped production and are rare as hens teeth. Has anyone tried a later "Low Boy" type kickstarter with a high pipe?

Has anyone tried a later curved (Lowboy pipe) kickstarter on a 85-88 CR?  Looks like it may fit.

Tech Talk / Coolant for magnesium water pump?

I'm picking up a 1988 CR 500 tomorrow. Apparently these bikes suffer severe water pump casing corrosion due to being made from Magnesium. What's the best coolant to run?

I'm looking for another bike (long story) to race in pre 90 class. I've searched for shoot outs but have been able to find much. What's considered the best 250?
