Jeez that Parra/Dogs game was intense ! Even though Parra are into the Granny, they'll struggle to get back up after that one. Huge !!  :o

Even on a good day they'll struggle against the Storm - too organised in defense and attack, and with game breaking talent like Slater.

Too true, Gra...but let's see if the Storm roll the always-unpredictable Broncos first. Bloody good AFL final, by the way, a real hard afternoon's graft. Hats off all round. To all ballgame haters, get the hell off the thread !  ::)

In the end, a good, old-fashioned hiding, in front of an enthusiastic crowd. Roll on next week. You others may as well get on with the gardening... :'(

Great game. I wanted the Saints to get one but I always thought the Cats would get it if it was wet.

Heart say's Parra.
Head say's Storm.

Heart say's Parra.
Head say's Storm.
Ditto Curly :D.

However, I have a bad feeling that Para is gonna be hammered. They play on heart and win on the flawed brilliance of one player. The Storm is a much more balanced team with better shinier Star.

I hope I'm wrong; the season and RL deserve a tight exciting game to finish on.

Hi , I did not say I didnt like Football , but I dont like to have it shoved down my throat  24 /7 . Each sport has a right to be there and they all should be promoted by the media equally. ;)  I cant see whats so extrodinary sniffing bums and chasing a round bit of leather  :D
If you see bum stiffing or pointless chasing of balls, well that what you see. I see drama, commitment, excitement, athleticism, courage, passion and much more ;) :D.

Uinversity won their fourth Rugby grand final in a row over my beloved Randwick. Randwick were bloody awful, Uni were brilliant and the ref blew the pea out of his whistle making for a crook game.

I agree Graeme, a flash as Hayne is, he's still got a lot to learn. I reckon Billy Slater's the better fullback and Cameron Smith the better tactician and leader so for that reason....Melbourne to win.

I think you are absolutely right. I look at Reedy and his Suzuki with completely different eyes to the majority and I marvel at the speed, grace and ability of Reedy and the technical excellence of the bike/suspension 8). Ditto RL, I'm amazed at the speed of the game and some of those hits - and I can't look at the replays of injuries ::).

now on another note got no time for soccer thanks Michael. :)
I'll barrack for soccer when they beat the Poms - it'll come one day. And I don't think it too far away ;) :D.

Hey Graeme
The last time we played the Pom's at Wog Ball, we beat them 3-1, I think.
I enjoy the World Cup, but after that, "BORING".
That's why they riot. They're all bored.

It's the NRL Grand final and a man makes his way to his seat right on the wing.

He sits down, noticing that the seat next to him is empty.

He leans over and asks his neighbour if someone will be sitting there.

'No,' says the neighbour. 'The seat is empty.'

This is incredible', said the man.

'Who in their right mind would have a seat like this for NRL Grand final and not use it?'

The neighbour says 'Well, actually, the seat belongs to me. I was supposed to come with my wife, but she passed away.

This is the first NRL Grand final we haven't been to together since we got married in 1967.'

'Oh .... I'm sorry to hear that. That's terrible. But couldn't you find someone else, a friend or relative, or even a neighbour to take the seat?'

The man shakes his head 'No, they're all at the funeral.'

I watched a Kenny Sutcliffe interview with Nathan Hindmarsh this morning and couldn't help but be impressed by Nathans passion. While my head says that Melbourne has the footy nouse to win well, my heart would like to see Parra get up. If the rest of the Eels had Hindmarshes passion, intelligence and work ethic they'd be unbeatable......Not being a follower of either team (go the bunnies in '10)makes it easier to be objective so....Go Parra ;D.

Eric Jnr had a great game as well.
Never the less it was a great game and I'm glad it wasn't a blow out like I thought might happen.

Brendan Fevola..........class act.
He didn't miss too many chances to make a dick of himself.
1. Punched out Marc Murphy
2. Pushed Rebecca Twiggly to the ground when she tried to restrain him from attacking a security guard.
3. Sexually assaulted a female journalist.
4. Was involved in an incident with Gibbsy's girlfriend which left her in tears.
5. Had the 2IC of the AFL Adrian Anderson in a headlock (along with James Brayshaw)
6. Abused Warren Tredrea, along with other high standing opposition players/officials
7. Swore/abused Chris Judd repeatedly when he attempted to have words to him.
8. Exposed himself to Rebecca Twigley asking her to accept it orally
9. Punched a Channel 9 producer (don't know who)
10. Felt up Demetriou's wife (might explain why he came out saying Fev had to clean his act)
