HI Michael,
welcome to the world of NOS bike building, I had a mate just pay a grand for NOS TT500 speedo, the ones that used to snap off and drop into the wheel on the first ride. They are all crazy.

TT500 Speedo? I wasn't aware that they came so equipped. Don't you mean XT Marc? ???
-
I think that the first TT500Cs could be registered with a simple kit like a TY175 - a little tail-light, headlight, and a speedo that clipped on down on the forkleg.

I didn't know that, you learn something every day.

Good on him. Where else are you going to another one? (Mind you I just paid a ridiculaus amount for some NOS Montesa "scrotum" fuel taps. Quite possibly one of the worst engineered fuel taps ever to go on a cycle......) :-\

Yer but now I realize why you love the Monty's Ross. Just love squeezing that thing dont cha?

Quite the opposite Brent. You always wince when you have to turn your fuel on or off because you have to really squeeze the little buggers..... :'( :'(

There lots of things that I don't know jack about, and I am sure plenty of people will be happy to back me up there, but I was with a mate that picked up a spanker 1976tt500c from frasers and it had no speedo no lights no nothin, but it had more ponys than any other standard 500 Yammie thumper I ever stradled :o
I have put about 50 bikes through NSW rego and I can tell you if it is pre 1977, such as the 1976 tt500c or the ty175c, all that is needed in NSW is the ty175c kit. no compliance plate.

When put into context, my fuel taps are fairly cheap going off of this ad.....

This is a magnesium petcock to fit RC Honda Factory Works race bikes. I am sorry but I do not know which model of RC racer it fits, but you can e-mail me or call for more details. $500.00 or interesting trades?

Mind you, somewhere out there, a guy who's got a complete RC 500 minus fuel tap just ran over his own dog getting to the bank. :D

In SA there are heaps of TT500's right up to the 81 model, that had been registered back in the early 80's with the optional TY lighting kit. No compliance plates but rules were a little more loose/relaxed here back then. Pitmans would put on the lighting kit and away you went and rode the bike home.
