If the bike has disc brakes and linkage suspension can it still race in pre 84, lets say a KX250 1983.
Cheers Brett

It's a pre 85 bike,
At the nationals they have a pre85 class and Hunter run a pre85 class,
Penrith and ST George run classic class, which covers pre78 and Evo Bikes
most likely the KX would run with the moderns at Nepean,

the class pre 84 means the year the motor was made, & has nothing to do with with the frame. mutley.

I thought it was Pre-85 in NSW. Linkage suspension, water cooling and disc brakes allowed - as long as it was manufactured before December 31st 1984 it is good.

Where did you get that idea from?
You can have a frame thats been built later but it must be a replica of a frame of the era, eg pre85
Evo = no disc, no watercooling, no linkage suspension
Pre 85 = bikes built up to & including 84 models (85 models built in late 84 aren't eligable)
Depending on what god you barrack for Evo bikes built in early 80's can ride in Pre85 but not vice-versa

Splitting hairs a bit I think.
