I don't know much about photography but I know that I like everything that Tina Hacking (Gary's wife) takes a photo of at a motocross track! They're all action shots. I like the way they blur and show the speed of what's going on ;).
These two taken at picturesque Barrabool a few weeks ago are a good example.
The first as the bikes come down the start straight must have been taken from some distance away to get that angle. Looks like it was taken from a helicopter! There's so much detail in this pic (Webbo's guard folding under, the Kiwi on the Mugan 390 poised to grab the inside line, Shayne Seliba well and truelly on the gas....). It really brings to life racing these old dungers. :D
Same for the second one. Something happening everywhere.

The second one shows poor old Ross being squeezed so hard his eye's mista being popping :o :o :o ;D.
You're right Ross, great action shots that capture the essence of MX racing. I would guess it's a pretty decent telescopic lens that was used.
