They don't give up do they :D?

A lots of ingenuity here - I love the exhaust valve linkage.

The simple 2T ain't so simple no more - but then the modern 4T ain't exactly simple any more either. And the 2T has the promise of making more specific power for weight.

Me thinks its all too late - electricity and alternatives are the future.

Will our grandchildren ride around a VMX track on electric-powered dirt motorbikes?  ::)Probably! There's possibly a thousand ways to redevelop an internal combustion engine and half of those are using the two-stroke principle.
But it gets down to the willingness of manufacturers to make money by making two-strokes countered by the willingness of a declining few to buy the products and anchored well down by government legislation that increasingly demands more stringent (any) engine emissions and a noisy livid-green fratenity who doesn't want to see anyone smile.

But what the hell? Our great-grandparents probably had a ball racing horses while the nay-sayers tut-tutted about all the pollution (horse shite) and noise made by these folk.

Things change. Who says electricity won't give the same thrills. One AC motor, a lithium-ion battery or two and an iPod with 1970s sound track of various exhaust sounds and our little 'uns may just be on their way to creating the pathways to a future VE-MX.

the simple 2T - it hasn't always been simple.
Read up some info on the old WW-II Rolls Royce Crecy engine.
V12, supercharged, sleeve-valved, direct injection.

Apparently Ossa is set to release a new two stroke trials model - the T280i. It will have an offset cyclinder and EFI. So it says in the current issue (227) of Motorcycle Trader (p.71).

Most modern 2T snowmobiles run direct injection(fuel injected into the cylinder after the exhaust port closes) and run oil-less bottom ends.Ossa has just replaced the carb with a throttle body. You can do this at home with Microsquirt and a stack of pistons.
Jeez that is one space age bike though I love it(except the green) good on em for having a go. I hope they sell heaps.

Check the 'packaging'; Rear facing, rear sloping, mass centralizing cylinder, exhaust straight into a pong box shaped as the lower rear mudguard etc etc ;) :) - a lot of thought, design, originality and effort  8).

And 5/10 for the green highlighted body work 8) (what body work :P).
