does anyone know the standard shock lenght eye to eye for a 82 cr250 or 480

Well at the risk of being corrected I'm gonna say "approx." 375mm.  :)

Reds pretty close, checked the one I have here, 373mm Approx.

14.75" =375mm
83 models are 16" =406mm
84models are16.88" =428mm

16" is what the book says.  I better check my "Way-Back" converter.  ;D
