Can anyone tell me what spokes are available/compatable to suit the front rim on the 78' RM125C?
They are no longer available from Suzuki as a set,and we couldn't find a part # for individual spoke and nipple.
What can i use ???
cheers....mario

i got stainless made at road and race on the central coast he makes plated sets as well

55300-41840 spoke set.
RM125C front spokes were shared with the 250C and 400C, along with the PE175C/N also. I picked up a set from Ray at SuziParts in South Australia a while back.
I purchased a stainless set from Buchanen http://www.buchananspokes.net/ that are absolutely gorgeous.
There are places in Sydney and Brisbane that make them, so you should be OK.

Ahhh cool thanks everyone that helps alot ;D

Hmmm...just checked part # on alpha-sports
RM125B 55300-41830/31
RM125C 55300-41840/41
The bag in the photo of paul miller m/c shows
77RM125 and 78 RM250 and list the # as 55300-41830
Surely the B and C 125 front wheel are the same??

Monaro, Suzuki did some weird things with their parts and numbering. RM125B and the 125C share the same front spokes with the RM250C,RM400C, PE175C and PE175N. There was a differing part number for the 125B hub but this hub superceedes to the 125C part number anyway. The front rim is the same for both 125B and 125/250/400C and PE175/250 C and N models. They will fit but I can't explain the number difference sorry unless maybe the spoke manufaturer was changed between models. The last digit of the part number usually represents a manufacturing modification.

Thanks Doc...i would have thought they were one and the same. ;D
Thanks also to LukeB1961 for a cross reference program for the RM :)
Cheers

Ok they will fit and the difference would likey be one of these
butted from a non butted spoke
different coloured zinc plate on the nipples eg gold instead of silver
different gauge spoke eg a metric instead of imperial
or different length and OD of the nipple
the most likey difference will be a slightly larger nipple OD.

TF 125 current model front and rear spoke sets fit both RM 125 B & C models and are available from Suzuki for under NZ$60.00 set.
rear set fits TM 125s & RM 125 M S A B C models :)
-
so that is where all the old spare-parts bin items ended up !!
-
Amendment to previous post TF rear spokes do not fit RM 125C rear wheel ::) :-[
Yea Luke those bloody TFs or mudbugs as we call em share a lot of components with the TM and early RM 125 models :)
Are they available in Australia ??? They were released here in 1977 and apart from paint , light switches and an 18" rear wheel they are unchanged. I stand to be corrected but i believe they are the top selling 2 wheel farm bike here in NZ .
They retail for NZ$2999.00
Fork tubes & springs etc & rear shocks also fit TM 125 :)

Brilliant stuff. I think they look pretty cool. No, I had never heard of them. (which is not to say they are not sold here) Anybody in OZ know of these? A very handy resource, certainly!

They still sell them here too, the tanks make an excellent long range replacement for ER185's (Or enduroised TM125's ;D)
-
Phew...i thought i was the only one that hadn't heard of them.Did a google and images and there it was!
I can't find anything to x ref them.
What year am i asking for TM Bill????
I will check with the local suzuki shop and see what shows up on their puter.
Rays suzi parts don't have any either.
Might just bite the bullet and get the ones from the US
Thanks again to all.

thanks for the tip cyclegod. Do you know how much they hold? Ive never see one before.
only US market stuff shows on the zedder x-ref. Thats why you dont see TF specific parts listed and the parts off TS/RM/TM etc that are the same as whats on TF's are not identified as fitting TF's as they are not in the data base.

rid the big flap on the TF front guard and you have yourself a white TM/RM front guard also for those inclined to use such colours ;)
