Sets a recent benchmark for an 1982 430 WR. A very good one should be worth more again ;D ;D ;D.

Looked hard at that one, even considered buying it. What got me in the end was how a "fully restored" bike which "has been run but not ridden", could have heaps of paint off the engine cases, & rust on the gearlever & kick start lever? That was just what was clear in the photo's. The bike looked really good but I think the fully restored descritpion was a bit of a stretch. It made very good money and the new owner is hopefully happy. I already have an '82 WR430 and an '83 WR250 in the stable, was thinking about doing them in MX trim but after that should probably keep them in standard enduro trim.

Makes that 500 CR silver bullet that was on ebay a while ago the right money at $10,500.00.

Wish I had one! ;) ;)

Offer me the right money and I'll sell you one. It just got 3rd in the competition section at the Laverda concourse.

May have had his mates bidding on it.

Just spoke to the new owner who turns out to be a client of mine. The actual sale price was $4,500.00 which is about right IMO. The final ebay bid was put in by the seller.
Cheers,

I agree $4.5k is much more like it. But.....does this mean we cant trust what is says on eBay :o :o :o :o Fancy the buyer bidding on his own auction - what is the world coming too ::) ::) Caveat emptor

The seller of that bike is a Husky dealer in Brisbane.. Who would've thought a bike dealer would pull a dodgy trick like that?? ;)
