Base bike - 85/86 (Cant be less than 85 as the 83 & 84 are air cooled)
If he says that the plastics have been changed then they would be 87
Front Forks - 90/91 (From memory the blue forks were about this era)
Either way she is a bitsa that would need a lot of time and money spent if the ALL the old parts are not avaliable from the seller, specially if the buyer wanted to race it.

Post by: maicoman on August 11, 2009, 10:54:26 am: I agree a bit of a bitsu. I thought 86/87 base bike with say a 90/91 front end. I guess ok if you don't mind that sought of thing, personally I don't. don't know how he thought it was an 83 model, very different animal.

It has an 85 motor with boost bottle removed, 86 swing-arm and 90'ish forks. Also looks to have a 19 inch rear wheel?

go great normally have a boost bottle(lozza must have taken it off) ;D

Post by: JohnnyO on October 21, 2009, 09:38:39 pm: I reckon they're the same bike. Both ads have spare big tank and talk about 41 flatslide carby, same forks and the 2nd ad has duct tape over the tears in the left side of the seat in the 1st ad.

Getting to the air and idle screws on the carb would be an interesting task
