Title: PE 250 T Electrics
Post by: southnztim on August 02, 2009, 06:54:41 am
I have a good spare rotor/stator off a PE 250 B. I understand that you can put them onto a T by changing the plates alignment holes. Has anyone any information that might help. Also any advantages or disadvantages that come to mind. I only use the bike for VMX. Thanks guys.

Stator, part number 32101-40521, fits PE250B/C/N and PE175C/N/T/X/ Z/D/E, along with the  RS175T/X/Z

But I was told the 250T/X/Z was larger. Leith?

Hi Luke. Yes ,the T's is larger. The earlier one is smaller and lighter. Just want to play around and see if it makes any difference to the acceleration etc. Tim.

physically the 250B stator/flywheel smaller. One of my 250T's had a 250 B stator and flywheel fitted but the magnets are cracked a bit but the bike runs still. i am changing it back to the proper stator/flywheel. to fit the 250B stator and flywheel, you need to drill/file/machine 2 slots 90 degrees opposite the standard 250 B mount slots. bolt on and away you go.

Hi LWC82PE. Did you mean to put the new slots in at 90 degrees. If I do 180 (1/2 a turn) then the slots will line up again? Did you notice any difference from the standard flywheel to putting the B's one on? Tim.

ok yeah 90 degrees. if the std slots are at 12 and 6 o'clock then make new slots 3 and 9 o'clock. if you have got the right stator look at that. basically you gotta position the plate in the same position as the original 250T stator plate.
No i didnt notice any difference.

Being new to vmx i thought i'd found the elusive PE flywheel im looking for
as it turned out it was too small and had been modified still looking. Not sure why but
had the holes in the housing re-drilled with long bolts through it.
