Chasing a 21" front wheel for my M106 astro (1971-1972).
Even a hub would do.
Part number 66.04-001
Cheers,
Steve

anybody?

Steve that part number doesn't mean anything to me and my limited knowledge of Astros had me thinking that Astros had no front brake. If the hub you want has a brake drum, I do have a few front Bultaco hubs from the late 1960s and 1970s but they are all from bikes with front brakes. If you can show what the hub you want looks like, we may get somewhere.

Feetup the first couple of astro's were pretty much pursang's with different engine mods (square jug not round). So i think a M86 pursang is the same hub for those models until 1974 when they bought out the M145 with a spool hub and a disk at the rear. The M106 was produced around 1971-1972, so mk5/6 pursang hub should do the job. I'll scan the part discription tomorrow which will help identifing what i'm after.

I've got a Mk5 Pursang hub available

Steve,
Paul has a Bultaco front wheel that he is giving away(General Discussion)but it is pickup only.If the Mk5 hub being offered by feetup is true it would be a steel hub(they only made them for one model, the MK5's)the next year they were exactly the same only made of alloy with a spray on chrome braking surface. The steel hubs worked good but were heavy.

listen i didnt know it was a bultaco wheel talk to curly and see if he really needs it

Here is the (steel) hub from Mk 5 Pursang I was thinking of selling.

I might also have an alloy one like the one in photobucket. I'll have a look tomorrow.

Sorry steve234, no Mk 7 Pursang front hub available. The front hub I was thinking of turned out to be a 140mm hub (Frontera/Alpina)
I did weigh the Mk 5 Pursang steel (125mm) hub and including both bearings and the spacer between them it weighs 1607g
For comparison, the above 140mm Frontera hub weighs 1057g with one bearing and no spacer

Cheers David, i'll keep looking for a hub similar to what i've got for the moment and see what pops up.
