Title: Honda xr vin

Hi  guys ..just a quick question on how to find out what year model my nephews xr250 is..also could you tell us any decent websites that explain what these number/letters mean (I  know J is Japan and H must be Honda ) Nephews vin starts JH8FP....sorry but thats all my old eyes are capable of...cant even make out difference between a 1 or an I on the damn thing..hope to get a reply anyway..cheers Kev

the 10th digit will indicate year eg say the 10th digit is a "A" eg *********A********** each star indicates a digit or letter witch indicates the year so
A=1980
B=1981
C=1982
D=1983
etc
