HI
I am currently in the desert, bike 12 000 miles away locked up - so please bear with me.
As I understand it, the modern day rims are 36 spoke, and the old KTM has a 40 hole hub.
In what year did KTM adopt the now standard 36 spoke hub configuration ?
So is it feasible to try and source a 1983/85 rear hub that will accept a modern day rim ?
That is the question.
Any and all suggestions welcome.

In 86 they went to disc. They are 36 spoke. Maybe an 85 as that is still drum but not sure on spoke #. Or change the hole back of the bike to take the latter disc rear.

Modern rims come blank and can be drilled to suit any hole configuration or number (have you seen the 80 spoke rims on Harley's ;))
