Title: Clogged Chookie Exhaust.
Post by: Curly3 on July 27, 2009, 05:43:41 pm
A question for the 2 stroke boy's.
I have a peewee 80 that won't rev out, it's clean down low but splutters as it reaches higher revs.
All other possible causes seem to be OK.
It has been suggested to leave it in the camp fire ( exhaust only ) to burn out all oil residue.
Are there any other solutions?

Easy way is stick a heat gun up it & watch it glow

Hey Dave, heat from the outside obviously?
Is the bird in your photo from Tassie?

Nope that's Miss Chernobyl 2009, pretty sexy huh? Talk about taking 2, how bout 4 at once  :o. Anyway back to the pipe. Blow it straight through the pipe itself not the outside. Start at one end and then the other.  Although a little heating of the outside can help. Just be prepared for the fire brigade to show up and a few flames once it starts burning (there will be a shit load of smoke if it's clogged). Doing it on a wind day is the trick and away from other flammable stuff. Good luck
